OASIS is the new name for the assistance program, which began six years ago at St. Paul's United Chruch of Christ. We have become aware that individuals and/or families in our community are in need of assistance with the purchasing of food. Sometimes local food pantries are just not enough, so we provide them with gift cards to Shop Rite. This enables them to purchase fresh food items including meat, eggs, milk, and cheese. These gift cards also make it possible for individuals and/or families to receive personal hygiene items and medications (we have even had people use the gift cards to fill a necessary perscription at the pharmacy). We are now working to expand this important mission and look forward to reaching out to even more people to help them in new and meaningful ways.
