Meet Our Pastor Pastor Ken came to St. Paul's United Church of Christ in July of 2003. He is a graduate of Drew Theological School in Madison, New Jersey. He was ordained in November of 2003 by the New Jersey Association of the United Church of Christ. He served as Director of Christian Education at Cedar Grove Community Church for three years and held numerous lay positions, as well as an ordained Elder, in the Presbyterian Church USA.
Pastor Ken has a B.A. in Education from William Paterson University. He taught junior high school for eight years in Wayne, New Jersey and was co-owner of a family business. He brings his experience in education and business background to the ministry.
Pastor Ken is married to his wife of 39 years, Jane. They have two grown children - Jim and his wife, Kim and Renee and her husband, Andrew. The Hess' also have four grandchildren.
